On October 19 2023, the SPs UPI Bandung Building hosted the "Changing the DNA of Live Events" event. This activity is part of the UPI Master of Tourism Study Program and has the honor of presenting Prof. David Hind, President A as Guest Lecturer.
The event started at 09.00 with remarks from Prof. Dr. Mrs. Chancellor, who briefly gave an introduction to the importance of innovation in the events industry. Next, Prof. David Hind began his presentation by highlighting the challenges and opportunities in changing the “DNA” of live events.
In his presentation, Prof. David Hind discusses the major changes taking place in the events industry as technology advances and consumer trends change. He highlights the importance of understanding your audience and creating engaging and memorable experiences for them.
Prof. Hind also stressed the importance of using technology at live events. He shared innovative examples of the use of technologies such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) in creating deeper interactions and increasing audience participation.
Overall, the "Changing the DNA of Live Events" event which was attended by Prof. David Hind as Guest Lecturer was a huge success. His presentation provided valuable insight and inspiration to the participants present. It is hoped that the insight provided by Prof. Hind can become a foundation for the development of a more innovative and exciting events industry in the future.
