On June 21 2023, phase 1 assistance activities for the development of West Rote Vocational School 1 were carried out which focused on the areas of Vocational Education and Hospitality. This activity is part of the collaboration between SMKN 1 West Rote and the Astra Education Foundation to improve the quality of education in the area.
As a resource person in this activity, Dr. AH Galih Kusumah, MM, Dr. Rini Andari, MM, and Taufik Abdullah, Ph.D were present to provide their views and experiences regarding the field of vocational education and hospitality. Their presence provides great added value for mentoring participants.
Dr. AH Galih Kusumah, MM, with a background and experience in education management, provides in-depth insight into curriculum development and management of vocational education programs. Participants gain a better understanding of the steps they need to take to strengthen educational programs in their schools.
Dr. Rini Andari, MM, an expert in the hospitality industry, provided valuable insight into developing skills programs in the hospitality sector. He shared knowledge about the latest trends in the industry, required skills requirements, and steps to improve the quality of the hospitality training program at SMKN 1 Rote Barat.
Taufik Abdullah, Ph.D, an expert in the field of vocational education, provided an understanding of mentoring and improving the quality of teaching and learning at SMKN 1 West Rote. He conveys the best strategies and methods for increasing learning effectiveness and evaluating educational programs in schools.
This mentoring activity has a positive impact on the school and participants. The resource persons provided useful insights and suggestions, which can be used as guidelines in developing vocational and hospitality education programs at SMKN 1 West Rote. The participants became more inspired and had a better understanding of the steps that need to be taken to improve the quality of education in their schools.
