
In November 2022, UPI Master of Tourism students class of 2022 enthusiastically carried out a field trip to the Endah Nature Tourism Village. This trip was held in order to fulfill field assignments from three courses at once, namely Customer Behavior, Community Based Tourism, and Tourism Policy Analysis. Students prepare to study customer behavior, the concept of community-based tourism, and analyze the tourism policies implemented in this attractive tourist village.
Endah Nature Tourism Village is a destination located in the middle of beautiful nature, surrounded by forests and clear flowing rivers. This field trip provides an opportunity for students to understand more deeply how community-based tourism can contribute to local development. They interact with villagers, learn about local culture and traditions, and observe how local people participate in tourism management and development. The students also make observations on customer behavior, identify their preferences, and evaluate the impact of tourism on society and the environment.
During this field trip, UPI Master of Tourism students class of 2022 also conducted an in-depth analysis regarding the tourism policies implemented in the Endah Nature Tourism Village. They study existing policies and identify successes as well as challenges encountered in implementing them. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience, students can provide better policy recommendations to support sustainable tourism development in this tourist village. In addition, they also collaborate with local governments and destination managers to share knowledge and innovative ideas that can increase tourism sustainability in Endah Alam Tourism Village.
Through this field trip, UPI Master of Tourism students class of 2022 have a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of customer behavior, the concept of community-based tourism, and tourism policy analysis. By combining theoretical and practical aspects, they can bring valuable knowledge and skills to the world of tourism. This fild trip also encourages them to contribute to developing sustainable tourism and to have a positive impact on the community and the environment in the Alam Endah Tourism Village.
