Dr. AH Galih Kusumah is a research lecturer who has extensive experience as a consultant, resource person and companion for tourist destinations in several regions in Indonesia.
Dr. AH Galih Kusumah, MM is a research lecturer who has extensive experience in the tourism sector, both as practitioners, consultants, and as academics. His tourism career started more than 20 years ago when he worked for one of the biggest travel agencies in Batam. Galih Kusumah is also experienced in managing local travel agents and working as a tour planner and tour leader for five years of international travel before turning to full-time academics in 2010.
Galih Kusumah holds the title Doctor of Hotel and Tourism Management from SHTM The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which is the world's best College for the category Hospitality and Leisure Management (QS World University Rankings 2017-2022). The research dissertation in question was nominated for the best dissertation at SHTM Polytechnic University in 2017.
Since graduating from doctoral studies, Galih Kusumah has returned to work at the Indonesian Education University as a research lecturer, and has experience in holding several positions and programs. The person concerned has extensive experience as a consultant, resource person and companion for tourist destinations in several regions in Indonesia. Currently, Galih Kusumah is the Head of the Master of Tourism Study Program. In addition, he is currently also entrusted with being the Deputy Chair of the Education Sector at the West Java DPD AHLI organization (Association of Hospitality Leaders Indonesia).
