The purpose of learning the Tourism Consumer Behavior course is to help students understand how consumer behavior is in the tourism industry and the factors that influence it. In addition, another objective of this course is to help students understand the best way to manage and increase consumer satisfaction in the tourism industry.

After attending this course, students are expected to understand the concept of Tourism Consumer Behavior, and be able to: 

  1. Understanding how consumer behavior in the field of tourism, including the factors that influence consumer decisions in choosing tourism destinations.
  2. Able to analyze the needs and preferences of tourism consumers, as well as develop appropriate marketing strategies to meet these needs.
  3. Acquire skills in segmenting the tourism market, as well as developing products and services that suit consumer needs.
  4. Able to evaluate tourism marketing performance, as well as develop effective marketing tactics to increase consumer visits to tourism destinations.
  5. Gain knowledge on how to manage and promote tourism destinations, as well as understand the challenges faced by the tourism industry.
