The learning objective of the Destination Planning and Development course is to provide students with an understanding of how to develop and manage quality tourism destinations. In addition, the learning objectives also aim to provide students with the ability to design and manage tourism destinations, as well as develop sustainable tourism activities.

Planning and Development courses are elective courses that can be chosen by students of the Master of Tourism study program at the Indonesian University of Education. Course information can be downloaded at the following link.

After completing the Research Methodology course, students are expected to be able to:

  1. Understand the basic concepts and principles of tourism destination planning and development.

  2. Understand how to design tourism destinations, including setting goals, objectives and activities to be carried out.

  3. Understand how to manage tourism destinations, including determining work schedules, managing budgets, and compiling destination reports.

  4. Understand how to develop sustainable tourism activities in destinations.

  5. Understand how to manage relationships with related parties in the development of tourism destinations.

  6. Understand how to prepare quality destination planning and development reports.

  7. Understand the role and ethics and professionalism in planning and developing tourism destinations.

  8. Understand how to develop communication and presentation skills in the process of preparing reports on destination planning and development.
